Therapeutic Plasma Exchange at Next Health Boulder

Why Boulder

Therapeutic Plasma Exchange at Next Health Boulder

Therapeutic Plasma Exchange draws Boulder endurance athletes, climbers and mountain-town professionals to our Boulder clinic. It is the most advanced longevity intervention we offer, and altitude, thin air and heavy training volume means demand here is strong.

How TPE works

Blood is drawn, separated so the plasma can be filtered out, and returned to you with albumin and saline in its place. The goal is to reduce the burden of inflammatory proteins, microplastics and other accumulated substances that plasma carries.

The process in Boulder

  1. Consultation and lab work with a Boulder physician
  2. Eligibility review and protocol design
  3. The exchange itself, roughly two to three hours in a private suite
  4. Follow-up labs to measure the change

TPE is a medical procedure and is only performed after a physician has reviewed your labs and history. Our Boulder team will walk you through candidacy honestly before anything is scheduled.
